Iron Cross Purchase and Caulk Road Recipe

Just purchased Iron Cross WWII miniature rules. Mainly to adapt the command token system to Blitzkrieg Commander. But it could also be a fun game.

Bought from Kings Hobbies and Games - https://www.facebook.com/kingshobbies/https://www.facebook.com/kingshobbies/

Table that Tim had set up. His normal Tuesday night game is currently trying out Battlegroup.

This is what he told me to use for my roads.
Spread it on wax paper.
Use trall/sp - spreader thing - a little wider than I may want (you can trim)
Spread sand or grit or ballast
Use a tool to make tracks
(I wonder if you could add static grass at this point?)
Dry 24 hours
Peel from wax paper
Paint light brown/tan
Pigment different shades

Do You Create Worlds?

Are you wanting to create a world for an ImagiNation war, RPG, or cartography? Gav Thorpe puts down some nice ideas on world creation.

Lee Makes desert explosions

More good work and terrain inspiration. In this case, desert explosions for 6mm. Big Lee does it again. Picture is from his website.

I hate to say this, but I'm getting tempted to go into desert gaming for 6mm. Need to look for a good GHQ sale or an army someone wants to sell.

Islands by Element270

Place holder post to remember how the guys at Element 270 made islands out of cork for Dystopian Wars. They could also be used for WWII naval games.

Bob's Diffuse camo without an airbrush Tutorial

Great tutorial on painting Diffuse Camo without an airbrush. This is somewhat similar to how I did it. However, his looks really good. I didn't use the floor wax. And I didn't speckle mine. Oh, and I didn't take the time to do a step by step tutorial.

Thank you Bob's Miniature Wargaming for typing this up.

Hobby Resource - Camopedia

One of the blogs I follow (can't remember which) posted a link to this very cool site. Especially good for the modellers that follow me. Camopedia seems like a very extensive site.

Big Lee's 6mm Field Defences and more

Big Lee worked with some Leven Miniatures sandbags to make these cool looking 6mm dugouts.  Funny, i could use some of those right now in the scenario I'm playing. The photo is his and from his website.

Then, on the same day on my Reeder blog list I saw this tutorial on buidling trenches (sort of) Another good one at the One Sided Miniature Wargaming Discourse.

Welcome Lee Sharpe to the page, thank you for joining up.

Game Table Fly Over

TableTopGamer asked for me to give a close up shot of my table, so here's a "fly by"

And, here's a link to how I made the bocage - sounds like the makings for another video
