AFRIKA II April 1941 AAR

April 1941, AFRIKA II MMP AAR
AXIS - Just made it with supply. Shipping was down to 1. But fortunately I now have 6 trucks to work with. Without
that, we would've lost some troops. Building up a defensive line. I'm not totally sure how to make an attack in this
game. I'm getting some strength but hungry. And those darn escarpments.

ALLIES - Failed attack on the right, lost 2 units and didn't budge theItalians. The Center and Left were more successful
taking out 4 units. Two other good notes, we were able to move a nice level of supply up. I look forward to bringing more
up in the next turn. Finally, the LRDG group will die next turn, but they will be there to draw resources behind the lines.
I was thinking it would stop supply, but I forgot about overrun during movement. The Axis can defeat them and then move
supply through.

Feb - MidMarch AFRIKA II AAR

Feb 1941 AFRIKA  II MMP

AXIS - Man o Man, I get two coastal shipping available and 6 Port Capacity - I've been splitting it up, 1 unit, 1 SP, but it

seems fruitless. Using some of the Trento Division for trucking (Trento Option) because I need to get that supply

moving.

Rommel is in Tripoli - must get him ashore.

And makes his impact felt dealing damage to the Axis/Allied middle and pushing the 7Arm and

Shelby units down 2 steps and 2 hexes. They took another step loss when having to retreat across EZOCs.

Will continue to build up Forces in Halfaya pass and Bardia. I

I am confident we can hold off the weak Allied forces.

Oh yes, our Camel Group penetrated deep behind enemy lines and was able to procure some supply and

destroy a Supply depot (2SP used and destroyed).

ALLIES - Mersa Matruh dock workers must be on strike, this port's been open once in 6 months.

Anyway, backed off the line to lick our wounds and again prepare for an attack. I've got a long way to go to get Bardia and Tobruk.

I've positioned supply to rebuild my damaged 7 ARM units, and was excited to get 4 replacement units this turn.

Oh, we did take out the Camel Group and also lost a 4-3-8 7Arm Brigade in the process.

March 1941

AXIS - Looks like we're creating good old fashioned Great War lines in the desert. Even the aggressive Mr Rommel thought we should

consolidate our forces and prepare for an upcoming offensive. Our supplies are dwindling and I'm concerned we'll begin taking

losses soon. We hear of reinforcements coming, however, with supplies as they are, I'm concerned. Allied naval

superiority in the last few months has created a massive shipping loss and we aren't getting the promised supplies.

Though, this is what Rome tells us, I believe it's more il Duce's extravagances taking what little we have.

AFRIKA II Dec '40 - January 1941 AAR

December 1940
Axis - Just consolidating defense by trying to get some supply. As soon as  you get it, you use it.
use it.

Allies - I forgot to mention that the Allies lost O'Connor to illness/capture/? (bad die roll).  Built up forces and just couldn't
wait to attack on the Allied left. Exploit units took out the 28 Oct and 2 Lib Divisions and began to weaken the Italian right.
Will keep building forces for more attacks.

January 1941
Axis - The new year brings some good news, an Italian exploit unit finally gets into the area of operations.
The 8 Brs/Ariete. We counterattacked the Allied excursion onto the right and destroyed thier 7th Support and
LRDG (for the 3rd or 4th month). We used the 8Brs to reinforce the right. Reports have it under good  authority
the Germans are landing soon. We'll see about that. They will no doubt try to take over operations.

Allies
Blast, on the variable reinforcement table, the Allies had to withdraw two Brigades. Took out the just acquired KDG
Armored Car and 4NZ - both that had just arrived. Blast.
Ok, perhaps Allies are extending themselves a bit much here. See that supply in the wide open on the Allied
left? Not cool. Even though, they've succeeded in pushing all but two Italian units West of the Mussolini Line.
At what cost?

AFRIKA II November 1940 AAR

November 1940 - AFRIKA II, MMP
Axis - Pulled units back to make a defensive line. Destroyed the pesky Allied LRDG with our Camel
Group and a rebuilt 1Med Armored. However the Armored was destroyed beyond use and was
put away to the "dead" pile.
Will build more defense in depth and will bring in a 3rd line of defense in the Halfaya pass.

Allies
Received some great reinforcements as we build up for our offensive to capture Bardia -
or course supply will be an issue. I want to build up some comfortable levels before attacking.
This kind of supply limits much in the way of "Blitzkrieg" style of attacks. Unless we're able to capture some
supply and ports.

Conducted a probing attack on the left flank with exploitable units and reduced a unit, while also
taking some damage. In addition, the LRDG is left in a very vulnerable spot and survival in
December is not likely.
