The Hills are Alive...

My Hills
I just heard a quick tutorial for hills on the WWPD podcast. I like what I heard and then looked it up on Google to get some other ideas.

I've made my own with some cheap Styrofoam from some electronics. And I've just started making some out of some left over blue foam.

But I always like to get other ideas.

Here a few that caught my eye:

The Command Tent

A MiniWargaming video tutorial (for bigger scale games than 6mm, but concepts are still good.)

  1. I use pieces of the foam used in mattresses which I tape down on the gaming table and them lay the grassmat/felt on top of that. It's a bit tricky to get the fabric to lay down without creases and you need pins to get the fabric to conform to the hill shapes, but in the end I think it gives a pretty natural result and making new hills for historical scenarios is really fast
